Library Services Manager (Arcadia)
The City of Arcadia is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and creative Library Services Manager, to assist in the direction, management, supervision, and coordination of the Library’s programs and activities. The ideal candidate will have proven success in developing and implementing programs and services to support and enhance the Library’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities of this Position:
Manage and coordinate the Program & Collection Section of the Library; oversee and supervise the section leaders of Adult, Young Adult, and Children’s Services.
Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the City Library programs.
Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for the Library; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign and evaluate work activities, projects, programs, methods, and procedures.
Manage and participate in the development and administration of program annual budgets.
Serve as a liaison for with other City departments, divisions, and outside agencies; negotiate and resolve significant and controversial issues.
Provide responsible staff assistance to the Director of Library and Museum Services; prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence.
Research and develop new grant funding opportunities.
Represent the City Library in the community; participate on a variety of boards and commissions; attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of library science.
Coordinate the volunteer and ESL programs; and perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
